Find the right rack for how you actually use your kitchen

Limited counter space

Your countertop is already doing a lot. A compact or foldable rack gives dishes somewhere to drip-dry without taking over the prep area. Works especially well in apartments and galley kitchens.

Shop Compact Racks

No dishwasher, hand-washing daily

When everything gets hand-washed — plates, pots, cups, cutting boards — you need a rack with actual capacity. Two-tier and extendable designs handle a full sink's worth without stacking dishes.

Shop Large-Capacity Racks

Have a dishwasher, still hand-washing some things

Nonstick pans, wooden spoons, water bottles, baby bottles — things that shouldn't go in the dishwasher still need somewhere to dry. A smaller rack keeps them out of the way without a big footprint.

Common Questions

How do I know which size dish rack will fit my counter?

Measure the width between your sink edge and the nearest wall or appliance — that's your limit. Most of our standard countertop racks are 18–22 inches wide and 12–14 inches deep. The compact models are under 20 inches wide. Dimensions are listed on each product page.

What's the difference between a drain spout and a drainboard?

A drainboard sits under the rack and collects water — you empty it manually every day or two. A drain spout is a small tube that channels water directly back into the sink continuously, so there's nothing to empty. If your rack sits right next to the sink, either works. If it sits further away, a drainboard is the more practical option.

Can these racks hold pots, pans, or cutting boards?

The two-tier and extendable models in our large-capacity category can. They have wider slot spacing and a lower shelf that fits larger items. The compact and standard countertop racks are designed for plates, bowls, glasses, and utensils — not heavy cookware.

Will a stainless steel rack rust?

304-grade stainless steel resists rust well under normal use, but it's not completely rust-proof if water pools for extended periods. Wiping down the drainboard occasionally and not letting standing water sit in corners will keep it in good condition. Carbon steel racks require more attention — they should be dried after each use.

I have a dishwasher. Do I still need a dish rack?

Most people do. Nonstick pans, wooden cutting boards, sharp knives, insulated water bottles, and baby bottles typically shouldn't go in the dishwasher. A smaller countertop rack handles those without taking up much space — you don't need a large two-tier model if the dishwasher is doing most of the work.

What if the rack doesn't work for my kitchen?
